Woodland

Leaves, foliage and seedpods inspire this collection; with Mossy tree trunks, lichens, fungi of the forest. I wanted to capture the rich texture and surfaces, the intricate mini world of the forest floor. I used rich green and gold glazes in the traditions of English Majolica and was inspired by the work of the 16th century French potter Bernard Palissy.
